Business Systems Analyst with extensive experience in user support and data analysis and manipulation.

I have extensive experience as a Programmer and Systems Analyst in a very intense and highly competitive business environment. In my last position, I developed an automated process using MS Excel and MS Access to validate the data migration effort of over 15000 parts from a Unix platform to a client/server platform. I have done much in the area of data file manipulation using MS Office tools and in house programs. I also developed ad hoc reports and business tools using Access and Excel. Other main tasks I performed have been to analyze and document user requirements, developed technical specifications, created test plans, and participated in all phases of development including System and User acceptance testing. Included in this business systems analysis, I have developed improvements to our manufacturing and procurement processes, and have automated many manual task and created both ad-hoc and production reports to support these new processes.

I also have extensive experience in both support and end user training. I have created classes for both technical and non technical audiences, and have the ability to present technical topics to non technical audiences in "common English". I have the ability to effectively interact with people from all organizational levels and build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy. I have taught many in house classes to support software implementations, and I also have developed and taught a 6 hour “Introduction to Access Class” both in house and as a contractor.

In November 2003, I completed an 18 week “Advanced Enterprise Developer Master Certificate Program” at
Clark University, where I developed a 4-tier Enterprise system using VB.NET that included both a client/server and web centric architecture. I also developed a similar client/server and web centric application using JAVA.

People should feel comfortable using personal computers in both their work life and personal life. Having worked in the IT area for many years in many different positions, I recognize the importance of getting data and information to those who need to use it.  I would now like to obtain a position in a company where my talents could be utilized to assist those who need to use computers to gather information to perform their task by providing them access to information that empowers them in their job.

I also believe very strongly that one should give back to the community and assist others. For the past 10 years I have volunteered in various capacities through my church (St. Eulalia’s, Winchester, MA) that include St. Mathew’s food pantry in Dorchester, MA, instructor for religious education classes, core member of the youth group, and presenter of informational sessions on volunteering at religious education classes.  Over the years I have also been an assistant coach in the town's t-ball, softball, and soccer leagues and have assisted in my daughter’s Brownie and Girl Scout troops.
